We stayed at the 19th Green for 2 nights, 6/30 and 7/1. We had a family
room, which was actually two rooms - one with a double bed and one with
2 twins (perfect for my husband and I and our two children). We also
had a single room for our father-in-law, which ended up actually having
a double bed and a twin. The inn is lovely, clean and very comfortable.
It is decorated beautifully. (Love the toilet seat in the bathroom on
the second floor at the top of the stairs!!) Yes, the showers are
small, but pressure was perfect and I considered ourselves lucky to
have showers! Freda and John are the perfect hosts! Very present, but
never intrusive. Their lounge is a perfect place to relax and enjoy a
drink after touring or golfing. John even brought in sodas and potato
chips for the kids. They use an honor system with the bar. Freda gave
us some honest advice about Ring of Kerry tours in bad weather, but the
day we decided to go turned out wonderful and Freda booked our tour for
us. Their breakfasts were great, cooked fresh and hot. All in all,
Freda and John made our stay in Killarney very enjoyable and we will
stay again if we are ever back in Killarney. We definitely recommend
the 19th Green!
